Long Term student family housing is for families with or without children. Units are rented to eligible UVic students on a yearly basis with the maximum stay not exceeding five years.
Situated on the corner of Finnerty and Sinclair Roads, this residence area focuses on the sense of family, togetherness and convenience of being near campus. With its nearby daycare services and local schools, family housing is a perfect neighbourhood for your family to live, study and work.
Enjoy the local walks and beaches, or mingle with your neighbours at the various play parks right outside your door. You'll enjoy friendship and the great diversity of backgrounds and cultures of the families living there. The University of Victoria's family housing complex has a wonderful atmosphere and a pleasant sense of community.
Family Housing accommodates full-time UVic students in 181 self-contained units that were built in 1994. One and two-bedroom apartments as well as two-bedroom townhouses are available. Units are unfurnished and the kitchens are equipped with a fridge, stove and dishwasher.

- Laundry hook-ups are provided in all townhouses to bring your own manchines, as well as Laundry Rooms throughout the housing complex
- Those living in apartments cannot have laundry machines in their suites, however there is a shared laundry room in each of the apartment blocks

- Communication Services (internet, telephone)
What is NOT permitted
- Pets of any kind
There are six different play areas throughout the various Family Housing neighbourhoods with swings, climbing structures, slides, a basketball court, and other fun obstacles.
Numerous walking trails are located throughout the campus and close to the Family Housing complex. On campus recreational facilities are open to the entire family. Gyro Park is a beautiful ocean front park and beach within walking distance to UVic, and close to various shops including a grocery store and pharmacy.
