Residence Orientation Programs

If you're not sure what to expect when you live on a University campus then the best thing to do is try it out for yourself!

Residence orientation programs have been created so current and prospective students can learn first-hand what life is like on a University campus and also get acquainted with the City of Victoria before starting their classes. Discover not only where you will eat and sleep but what kinds of activities you can participate in and who else will be living in your new community.

Participating in orientation will make a difference to your experience at UVic. We encourage all new students and their parents to register for orientation activities.

January Orientation takes place January 3 to 5 for all new students. Residence Orientation will take place on January 4. If you are new to residence in January 2012, please read our Information Sheet for more details.

Fall Residence Orientation takes place in September for all students living on campus.

In addition, students living in residence should register for the New Student Orientation. For parents, we encourage you to attend the Parent Orientation. Both Orientation programs will occur during Move-In Weekend, in September 2012.
