Community Leaders (CL)

Community Leaders are upper-year student staff members that live in each of the Residence Buildings and in some of the units in Cluster Housing.

Your Community Leaders will be here on the day you arrive to welcome you. They will be hosting Residence Orientation events you attend, so you will be sure to see some friendly and familiar faces. Typically, the Community Leaders have previously lived in residence and can be a tremendous source of information and help because they have already gone through the experience on which you are about to embark.  Community Leaders complete an extensive training program where they learn about peer helping, mediation and conflict resolution, crisis intervention, event planning, and more.

Community Leaders will also be organizing and hosting events for you throughout the year. Our coffee houses, dances, and athletic events, for example, are a great way to reduce your stress and connect with other students!

Residence Program Leaders are involved in supporting the overall Residence Life and Education program, and assist the Residence Services team on special projects, committees and programs.

A team of Residence Life and Education Professionals works out of the Residence Life and Education Office on a year-round basis.

  - Residence Community Standards Coordinator,
  - Residence Life and Education Receptionist,
  - 4 Residence Life Coordinators
  
  

Our receptionist can direct you to the right person in our office to assist you with questions or concerns.  If you have ideas about new programs, need some extra assistance for a health issue (physical, mental, emotional) or a question about how we do things, please stop by our ofice in Residence Services at the Craigdarroch Office Building.
